Hanes Socks


Alright...... you've heard about me going to Zumba. I LOVE it.

But I will admit that I have having problems with my socks, inside my sneaks. Especially some of my older socks. Some were getting sucked inside my shoes while doing the cha-cha (I know you know what I'm talking about!)

OR...... and this was the worst, I was having problems with the seam across my toes, specifically over my left foot.. PINKIE TOE! OUCH!!



So. Not sure if I told you, but I'm a BzzAgent. You can read all about it here. Essentially, it's word-of-mouth marketing. I sign up for campaigns that I am interested in, and they usually send me a product, or a few of them, literature about the product, and... very important..... coupons to share with my friends. Check them out, they're always looking for new agents to try products, and give opinions!

So, when I saw the "Hanes, Comfort Toe Seam" campaign, this momma hopped on it! (awww... get it, hopped, like on a foot!!)

They sent me 3 pairs of these lovely socks. One pair with cute stripes, one white/pink pair, and one black pair. I love presents, and honestly, this one felt a bit like a birthday present!

The box arrived about 20 minutes before I was going to Zumba, so I figured I'd throw caution to the wind, and instead of washing them first, I popped on the cute stripped pair, and off to Zumba I went.

NO getting sucked into my shoes!
NO left pinkie toe pain!
NO super sweaty feet when I was done! (can't say the same about my sports bra.....)

BTW....... I've washed them all TWICE now, and they hold their shape, no weird fraying..... no problems. I'm THRILLED with these socks.

As a matter of fact, Mr. Tripletmomma is a continual run on sentence about his socks and seams problems. Guess who's getting a FEW packages of these in his Christmas stocking???

Zumba!!! Pix included!

So, in an effort to get some cardio in my life, 
and to stop my continual inner-dialogue of complaining about how 
freaking BORING my elliptical bike is..... I've started to do:

Recipe: Chocolate Covered Strawberry Smoothie!

Oh my!

So I was thinking about making a smoothie for lunch today, since now my band is back up to 8cc in a 14cc band. I think I've hit my sweet spot for a while. We shall see :)

ANYHOODLES......

I was jones-ing for a smoothie. I've been drinking my regular blueberry/kale smoothies about 2-3 times/week (especially since I grew kale this summer, I've been skipping outside, and taking 4 leaves at a time to add to my smoothie) but I didn't feel like making that smoothie today. I need to be more adventurous in the smoothie department.

2 YEARS out!

Guess what today is?!?!?!



I am currently down nearly 212 pounds!!!! (I am still counting that 5 pounds of skin they cut off during surgery, but I haven't gotten back down to 163 YET.... I'm rounding the corner, and coming close. I plan on sitting at 160 / maintenance before next year's lower body lift)

I'll try to take pix later... not sure if it will happen, it's a BUSY day in Momma's life today...... work, fun, kids, etc!

Young Guns: Zombie Harvest

My boys, and their buddy from next door made a zombie movie this summer to help keep busy..... now they're watching their YouTube stats. Got a few minutes? Could you please watch it? :)

Who's the bitch in the pink?

See that skinny chick in the pink shirt, over that scout's shoulder? Who the heck does she think she is, with a pink top, and matching blue/pink Detroit hat? I'm so sick of skinny girls thinking they're all that..... What? You say that bitch is ME? No.... I know what I look like, and I weigh at LEAST 50 pounds more than her! When **I** was standing there and taking pictures, my ankles/calves had 10+ pounds of water on them, and I was actually upset that we were leaving camp, cuz then I had to face CS (cranky scale) and I knew it wouldn't be good.

So imagine my surprise when I look at this picture, and wonder who that chick is..... and then slowly realize, it's ME! I have to wonder WHEN I'm actually going to start recognizing myself in CANDID photos (as opposed to posed pix..... where I know my picture was taken!)





Here's my and another mom who camped all week (Mom's ROCK!!!!!!) We joined our Boy Scout Troop's "Fire Bowl" skit on the last night of camp. What was our roles? Girl Scouts of course. First time I ever enjoyed getting boo'd off a stage :)



Can you see me? I'm there... in the second row behind the boys, next to the guy with the goatee. I had to remember where I was sitting, to scan through the picture and "find" myself..... I'm starting to feel like WALDO!


Camp was a lot of fun, and I certainly got my "hike" on.... we hiked a MINIMUM of 5-6 miles each day, averaged about 7, and one one particularly good day, I hiked over 12. NEXT year, I'm wearing my pedometer like the other mom did! Smarty-pants!

Yes....... you can see that I gained 9.8 pounds this week, even with a 6000+ calorie deficit. I was camping in the woods with my boy scouts, the heat, the hiking, and the salty food led to a big bloat. I am starting to see that bloat come off today! WHEW!
